Genesis 1.12


Hebrew: The earth brought forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that this was good.

Greek: And the earth brought forth grass of the field, which produces seeds according to its kind and according to its likeness, and fruit-tree that bear fruit, the seed of which is inside it according to its kind on the earth. And God saw that it was good.

Old Latin: And the earth brought forth the nourishing crops, seedbearing according to their kind and their likeness, and the fruit tree bearing its fruit, containing within itself its seed according to its kind upon the earth. And God saw that it was good.

Vulgate: And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Peshitta: And the earth brought forth green plants, the herb which propagates by seed according to its genus. And the tree which produces fruit which adorn it according to its genus. And God say that it was good.
