Genesis 3.8


Hebrew: They heard the sound of the Lord God moving about in the garden at the breezy time of day; and the man and his wife hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Greek: And they heard the voice of the Lord God, who was walking about in the garden at evening-time, and both Adam and his wife hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Old Latin: And they heard the voice of the Lord God as He walked in Paradise in the late afternoon, and then Adam and his wife hid themselves from the face of the Lord God amidst the trees of Paradise.

Vulgate: And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the Garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Peshitta: And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden at the turn of the day and Adam and his wife hid from before the Lord God amid the trees of the Garden.
