Afternoon1 = 12:30-2:30
Afternoon2 = 3:00-5:00

Arrival, opening reception from 5:30 to 7pm, Pavilion VIII Garden. Rainsite: Tucker Lounge at Brown College.


Monday June 17

Morning, Campbell 105: Anne Rubin & Ed Ayers: Electronic History and the Revolution in the Classroom
Afternoon1 & 2: HTML basics and participant bio pages.


Tuesday June 18

Morning, Campbell 105: David Seaman: Introduction to Electronic Texts, Images, and SGML. Staff "Cool Demos."
Afternoon1: Even groups learn scanning in Alderman (Etext and E-classroom), Odd groups learn advanced HTML in Sci. Stacks.
Afternoon2: Odd groups learn scanning in Alderman (Etext and E-classroom), Even groups learn advanced HTML in Wilson 308.


Wednesday June 19

Early Morning: 7:45 am tour of Monticello and meeting with their Web managers at Kenwood.
Morning: Work in small groups: Sci. Stacks, Etext Center, Bryan 203
Afternoon1, Campbell 158: Course and Departmental Websites, Peter Kastor, Brian Balogh, and Steve Railton.
Afternoon2: Work in small groups, Alderman & Wilson
Evening: Electronic classroom/Etext Center open 7-10.


Thursday June 20

Morning: Work in small groups: Sci Stacks, Alderman, Etext
Afternoon1, Campbell 158: Paul Jones: Copyright, Fair Use, and Collaborative Work on the Web
Afternoon2: Work in small groups: Alderman & Wilson
Evening: Electronic classroom/Etext Center open 7-10.


Friday June 21

Morning: Work in small groups: Sci. Stacks, Etext Center, Bryan 203
Afternoon1: Work in small groups: Alderman & Sci. Stacks
Afternoon2, 2pm, Campbell 158: Unveil the finished product, discussion of Electronic Publishing with John Unsworth.
Evening: Fridays after Five, featuring the Olympic Torch; at 8:00, closing dinner at Southern Culture, 633 West Main Street.
