Then, that all-creating king of enlightenment spoke this great instruction, source of the action-less perfection, in order to put the mind into its natural state:

Oh, you great vajra hero listen! Oh!

Non-conceptuality which is non-localizable and devoid of referential objects is the path to dharma.

The Reality Body of conceptual meditation constituted objectively
Of subtle factors of calculative thought processes is in fact without any real meaning -
Thus self-emergent primordial gnosis is without conceptuality, and remains everywhere just as it is (ji bzhin) -
Without action and not localized within objects, no remedy with antidotes pertains.

Seek out the quintessential objective domain by force of the plural dharma!
And revel in it via the technique of non-conceptualizing any aspects whatsoever.

Because this quintessential nucleus emerges as your own most being, the Reality Body is no where else!
Devoid of construction out of singular atomic particles and of directionality,
This non-localized dimension self-emerges as an optimal primordial gnosis.

By entering the thoroughly pure path
Within this vast nucleus of total non-conceptuality in direct immediacy,
One attains the King of sameness.

Not changing now or in the future, it is devoid of any location in which it settles.
While similarly it is devoid of apprehended objects, and lacks even a locus of phenomena.

Those who desire to attain immediacy perpetually meditate on the causal process,
And become enraptured with their addiction to meditation,
Such that the dimension of sameness never comes to pass.

There is nothing to be added since the singular Body is all pervasive,
Yet neither is there any diminution within its expanse since no limit is ever encountered -
Since you revel in reality itself, it is not a locus where any fear remains,
But rather it remains everywhere just as it is within the domain of expanded self-emergence.

There is an amazing absence of visible objects, yet there is visual perception here;
Whatever you might listen to its inappropriate, as it is beyond all explanation;
Phenomena and reality perpetually blend, and become indivisible,
Such that there is no special explanation of “ultimate dharma”;
You won’t attain (anything) via discriminating between distortion and the path to enlightenment -
Self-emerging primordial gnosis itself is also beyond the frameworks of words.

(One’s) identity of the Buddha’s primordial expansion and awakening abides in direct and immediate perception,
And yet conceptuality emerges in relation to it as in analogy of a form and its shadow -
It is non-existent, yet rather than being non-existence, it is the emerging quintessential nucleus of non-existence;
It is empty, yet rather than being empty, it abides within the objective domain of emptiness;
Memories/recollection of the sky’s nature emerging there stirs.

The bliss of being beyond action is appropriated via being divested of desire.
And primordial gnosis begins to emerge from within the absence of intentional objects.

Following the sages of old, (some) fix their mind in meditation,
But by mistaking the natural path, they are unable to know everything;
They conceptualize a supposed “just as it is”, and thus meditate conceptually,

While desire for great bliss becomes the disease of addiction;
If you don’t apply the great medicine of remaining natural without wavering,
It acts as an impetus to proceeding to higher states of existence and
The emotional distortions take hold.

There is no path, yet the great disease of those who embark on a path
Is that they desire to follow it, like chasing a mirage of a deer (ri dwags) -
There is no object to find, and they will never come free of the three worlds,
While even being based upon the ten levels obscure enlightenment.

Exceedingly rapid primordial gnosis is devoid of all thought,
Like the precious jewels which stems from all of the spiritual guides
Devoid of any referential perception and not based upon a changing stratum,
Its own excellent nature fulfills all wishes.

Non-existent if you analyze it, its marvel lies in diversity emerging when you let it be;
It doesn’t manifest directly, yet it discloses in all the guises of becoming.

The discloser of divesture from self and other is a treasury of jewels;
This “domain which accomplishes everything” is compassionate disclosure devoid of self,
Which doesn’t waver from its interior, and which is internally devoid of any objects to be sought;
There is no external attachment to objects, and no calculative objectification,
Not emerging, not engaging, it is self-less compassion; since it is so,
It is not the property of someone else, and is primordially abiding without (newly) arriving.

You turn your back on bliss when you desire bliss -
Enthralled by bliss, you seek bliss through bliss,
And distorting enlightenment, you are consumed within the dharma of primordial addictions;
Such subjectivities don’t see Buddha,
And because the Buddha is absent, not even the name of Buddha is present;
Labelling with the name “Buddha” because of teaching is a mistake!
Attaining the Buddha extrincally is a mistaken path -
(Buddha) is formless, and there isn’t even an iota of teaching all those doctrines.

Thoroughly divested of appropriation, origination, Separation, pacification, and insubstantiality;
The nature of this great ambrosia Is devoid of finding techniques for focus (bza' ).

It's vast, great, and a great dharma!
It is an antidote for the small ones,
And having balanced out your objectification of it as great,
It is divested of objectifications of small and great;
The objectification and experience of the Buddha’s speaking and expansion
Are like the facets of a magician’s drawings -
They emerge under the spell of a clouding
Of primordial gnosis in its emerging and engagement.

Let it go! Let it be! Its nature
Is devoid of desire, devoid of appropriation,
And not even an iota of inclination stirs.

Like the great Khyung soaring in the sky,
It is without projection or contraction;
There are no fears it will be dispersed, and there is no focus -
Divested of any object for focus (bza’), it is beyond hopes and fears.

It primordially abides like the ocean, Yet gives rise to a diversity of phenomena;
Its dynamic resources are equal in extent to the sky,
And can’t be fixed at some locus of concentration.

In the nucleus of enlightenment, immediately
The great King of Samadhi emerges;
Its manifestation is like the great ocean,
Its non-conceptuality is vast like the limit of space;

In the field of experience of All Good,
There is no locus for origination and transfer,
And the twelve branches of causes and conditions
Are explained via imputations derived from the deprecation (of that experience) -
The learned thus must understand them
As the mere gateway to distortions!

The experiences of the six continuums of migrators as well
Must be recognized as the initial path:
If desirous conduct is moisturized with compassion,
One cultivates enlightenment in whatever one’s like -
Thus pariahs - the butchers, prostitutes, five inexpiable sin doers,
And transgressors (kha na ma tho?) -
Can be totally perfect, and thus are devoid of anything than Great bliss, the juice of the Dharma.

This nucleus of non-conceptuality
Is unconcealed within the stream of being (rgyud) of all -
It naturally abides in every possible way
As the conduct of enlightenment without ever being taken up.

Thus, he spoke. This concludes chapter twenty-two, “The Non-localized Dimension,” from The Ten Instructions on Actionless Perfection.
